Join us on six Wednesday evenings during Lent as we gather for a simple supper of soup and bread and explore six questions that Jesus asked in our Gospels that reflect the joys and challenges of being human:
“Why are you afraid?” (Matthew 8:23-27)
“Why are you anxious?” (Luke 12:25-31)
“What are you looking for?” (John 1:35-38)
“What do you live for?” (Mark 8:34-38)
“Whom will you love?” (Luke 6:27-36)
“Who do you say that I am?” (Luke 9:18-20)
How might you respond to each of these questions?
How might our faith guide us as we seek clarity?
We’ll gather in the second-floor parlor for soup and then watch a short video before engaging in an informal discussion facilitated by Pastor Maureen. The video series is produced by United Methodist pastor, the Rev. Magrey deVega. The series has a companion book that participants are welcome to read, but it’s not necessary. All you need to bring is your appetite and your wonderings!
Those who can’t be present in person are welcome to Zoom in for the video and discussion, and for supper as well if you’d like to eat with us from afar!
Email Pastor Maureen to RSVP or to receive the Zoom link.
